Insomnia And Self Hypnosis
Insomnia And Self Hypnosis – One Of The Fastest Cures
By M. A. Fulmar
The need and chemistry of sleep is yet a mystery to modern science. We know that we need to sleep and that interfering with sleep can affect our performance, the way we behave and think, and even make us physically sick. However, why sleep occurs and why it is so necessary is yet to be determined.
What Is Insomnia?
Insomnia is the incapability to sleep at night the prescribed 4-8 hours of sleep. When this happens, and there is no health repercussion, there is nothing to worry about. However, if the lack of sleep affects the quality of your life, then you need to seek medical help to cure this problem.
Few people are aware that sleep has four stages, (i) thinking stage, (ii) fantasy stage, (iii) hypnoidal stage and lastly (iv) sleep. As soon as we go to bed, one starts the journey through these four phases.
The first phase usually wraps up the day’s happenings in your mind and makes plans for tomorrow. This happens automatically, even if you do not really care for it. In the second stage, some type of pleasure inducing thought will occur which will make you feel good and relaxed. The third stage is the stage where you are entering into sleep mode – a stage where you are both asleep and awake and everything around you becomes distorted and surreal. This is the stage which is just a thread away from sleep. Lastly, sleep comes – but when it comes you will not be aware of it. You simply shut down from reality at that moment.
Insomnia And Self Hypnosis – What Does It Involve?
One of the fastest and fail-proof methods for insomnia is self hypnosis. This method is possible due to the applicability of the Laws of Association and Repetition. In lay person’s terms, the Law of Association is what you will need to do to induce the second stage of sleep, i.e. the fantasy stage. This method is used to relax the muscles and prepare the body to achieve sleep. The Law of Repetition will help you bring yourself forward to the next stage, i.e. the hypnoidal stage through repeating a series of sleep related words while exhaling to keep the mind focused towards this goal.
This is what will prevent you to return to the thinking stage where sleep will elude you totally. The connection between insomnia and self hypnosis has been well proven by many studies and was found to be one of the best ways to treat this malady. The treatment of insomnia through self hypnosis may take sometime to master, but it is well worth the effort.
In order to do things right, you should learn the correct way to chase away insomnia by self hypnosis from a professional.
