By Wendy Simons
There are any number of people who get bladder infections. This infection is caused by the Escherichia coli bacteria. This bacteria can usually be found in the gut. However when the bacteria enters the urethra it can pass through to the bladder where the environment is prefect for this bacteria to breed and multiplied. To be able to treat bladder infections you will need to know the signs of bladder infection.
As the bladder infections start only when the E. coli bacteria has multiplied you will recognize the signs of bladder infection by the frequent and urgent need to urinate. Sometimes you will experience a burning sensation or pain when you are urinating. This is called dysuria. The other signs of bladder infection are bladder spasms, the need to urinate even though little to no urine actually comes out.
In other situations you will have a mild fever, cloudy, bloody or foul smelling urine. Some of the more serious signs of bladder infection fever, chills, and nausea, you will experience abdominal pain and burning. Sometimes there will also be a back pain just above the waist
These serious signs of bladder infection may be the cause of kidney infection. Should you find yourself experiencing any of these symptoms then you should see your doctor. It is best that you see a doctor as soon as possible because these signs of bladder infection will not disappear.
In fact left untreated your signs of bladder infection will become much worse. Therefore rather than staying with an uncomfortable bladder infection you should see about getting treatment right away.

There are self help treatments that are good for you to use when the signs of bladder infection begins. These are usually in the form of cranberry juices.
