This is a big business opportunity in which, it is believed, as much as forty percent of all residential construction spending takes place and accounts for an estimated two percent of the U.S economy. This so called “boom” may have been fueled by the rise in home costs coupled with lower interest rates as well as strong homeowner equity.

So, one may wonder whether spending money on home repair is really worthwhile or not. The answer would be “probably,” because the home repair industry is reaping huge returns due to the fact that people find value in home repair projects. This does not mean that one would recover all of the money spent on repair straight away.

The typical amount recovered would range between eighty and ninety percent within a year or two. With better home repair, one may even make money on the whole deal as, over time, the real estate market would leverage the investment through growth in the value of the property.
