Preventing head louse infestation in schools has been a headache for decades, as there hasn’t been a full proof way of doing this.

This includes washing their hair regularly, and keeping nails trimmed. A carefully inspection for lice on a regular basis is important, as your responsibility as a parent is to make sure you don’t expose other children to the head lice if you find your child has them.

Preventing head louse with specific medication – there are sufficient anti-lice solutions that you could use to lice-proof your child’s hair. Among all the things available, you should choose the product that is most cost effective and efficient for you and your family.

Preventing head louse with short hair – it is advocated that children in the younger bracket (3-12 years of age) can prevent lice better with shorter hair. This will also help to mobilize the lice immediately, in case the child is suffering from lice. Once they reach the age of twelve, and the danger of lice has lessoned, shorter hair is not as important.
