The Science of Golf: Golf Swing Biomechanics
By Angus MacLeod
Golf is truly a game of science and physics, and so the matter of golf swing biomechanics is one that should be taken quite seriously, especially if you are a golfer and are looking to improve your golf game. The golf swing biomechanics are an incredibly important subject, and they can teach you plenty in regards to the game of golf in general.
Golf Swing Biomechanics
It is truly critical to understand the fact that the golf swing biomechanics can be incredibly revealing, both about the game of golf and the scientific difference between amateurs and professionals.
However before you can understand the matter of golf swing biomechanics, you need to learn about the matter of biomechanics itself first. Basically, biomechanics is the mechanical analysis of body motion, and studying and understanding the physics of a golf swing by analyzing the biomechanics of the golf swing in general is what can make this process so revealing.
Twisting Golf Swing
For instance, there is the matter of the twisting golf swing, which produces torque on the golf club in general. Basically the faster your club will be going at the bottom of your swing, thus the greater the amount of kinetic energy that will be transferred from the club head to the ball and hence the further the ball will end up going.
Biomechanics in other words is the study of the skeleton and muscles and nerves, and what they can do when hitting a golf ball. For instance, the golf swing itself begins in the address stage, and this is the position in which the golfer places his body in to begin the swing. It should be known that a balanced address position will help incredulously by providing the golfer with the correct starting position for the swing.
The backswing, on the other hand, is when the body begins to move the club, and the backswing is the actual portion of the swing that places the body in the correct position to begin the downswing. During the entire backswing, the body begins the recruitment of energy that will then be transitioned at the top of the backswing towards the ball. It is easy to see how important it is to take all of these matters into consideration, and if you do, you are sure to notice a great improvement in your golf game.
