Lemon Detox Diet
For Ultimate Body Cleansing, Try a Lemon Detox Diet
By Linda Rogers
The diet of choice in this country involves primarily processed food with little or no nutritional value. A regular program of this type of food puts quite a bit of strain on our elimination systems, since there is more waste than our bodies are designed to get rid of. One way to give the body a much needed boost is to try a lemon detox diet to cleanse the body and allow our systems to recover from the strain of a solid food diet.
The lemon detox diet consists of substituting a beverage mixed with water, lemon and other ingredients for solid foods for a period of time. The time frame can vary based on your previous experience with detoxing your body, and the results you are hoping to achieve.
Recipe for a Lemon Detox Diet
To mix up a glass of the lemon drink that is used in the lemon detox diet, you will need two tablespoons of Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup, two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, and a pinch of cayenne pepper or ginger to taste. Fill your glass containing these ingredients with hot or cold water and enjoy! Whenever you feel the urge to grab something to munch, mix yourself a glass of your lemon drink instead. For best results, try to consume six to nine glasses each day.
How long should you follow the Lemon Detox Diet?
The time frame for the lemon detox diet can vary considerably, depending on your health, experience with detoxing, and personal preference. The full detox should take place for at least seven to ten days. If you prefer a more relaxed version of the program, you can substitute two meals a day with the lemon drink, and eat one full meal at lunch time. If you select this more relaxed approach, you can continue with your detox program for up to one month. You can also choose a maintenance plan that includes one detox day each week. This program can be the easiest for many people to follow, and will give very satisfying results.
The hardest part about a lemon detox diet is usually mental in nature. It is hard to imagine going for any period of time without solid food. However, if you can stay strong and stick to your lemon detox diet, you will surely see positive results that will encourage you to continue. Your body will be cleansed and rejuvenated by the end of the process, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are on your way to better health.
