In the age of social equality and splitting the check, it has almost come to be taken for granted that both parties will pay their own way on a date. While this is fair and politically correct, it’s not very romantic. The stereotype that a man who grows up with a lot of sisters has better luck with women is partly true for this reason. Female friends can offer an unlimited supply of dating tips for men in their lives because they genuinely want their male friends to be happy and, therefore, generally offer useful advice.
