Permanent Coffee Machine Filter: Do Away With Disposable Filters
By Wendy Simons
If you’re like most people, your least favorite thing to do when brewing coffee is throwing away the old filter. It’s always soggy and gross and sometimes you miss the trash can, resulting in coffee grounds spreading everywhere. Disposable filters make a mess. This doesn’t mention the fact that you throw one away only to find that you’re out of them. Now, not only are you in a bad mood because you had to throw away the old filter, but now you can’t have coffee. This would put anyone in a bad mood. Don’t go through this next time you want to make a cup of coffee. Next time, try making coffee with a permanent coffee machine filter.
You Never Have To Throw Them Away
Permanent coffee machine filters are made out of plastic or some other durable material and you never have to throw them away. You just rinse them off and reuse them again and again. To wash them, you can stick them in the dishwasher with your other coffee maker parts. Permanent coffee machine filters will always be there when you want to make coffee and there’s no soggy mess. If you don’t have a permanent coffee machine filter, you need to get with the times and start shopping for one.
Wherever They Sell Coffee Machines
They sell permanent coffee machine filters anywhere they sell coffee makers and accessories. They don’t cost that much, especially when you consider you’re no longer buying disposable ones. So, in essence, the permanent coffee machine filter actually pays for itself after not too long. It’s just a good investment. If you’re a coffee drinker and you hate disposable filters just like the next guy, get yourself a permanent coffee machine filter and stop the soggy mess.
It should be noted that if you do buy a permanent coffee machine filter, it is necessary to keep it as clean as possible. Coffee leaves behind an oil that needs to be washed off between brews. Simply rinsing off your permanent coffee machine filter every once in a while will keep it somewhat clean but you should really wash it well at least every three or four brews. This will not only improve the taste of your coffee, but it will keep impurities from gathering in your pot that can cause mold and other nasties.
