Christmas Decoration Ornament

Finding the Perfect Christmas Decoration Ornament
By Audrey Sneddon

Some people like versatility more than others; and those of us who live in ridiculously small apartments with no storage space can attest to wanting Christmas ornaments that don’t have to be packed away for 11 months out of the year when it’s not Christmas. A Christmas decoration ornament that can hang in your window for 11 months of the year and then grace your Christmas tree for three weeks around Christmas time; this is absolutely the best kind of Christmas decoration ornament.

How is This Possible?

Of course, hanging a Santa ornament in your window from New Years’ to Thanksgiving is not actually the idea; rather, the idea is to find ornaments that are beautiful, not ornaments that are Christmas oriented. A decoration that is all one color, such as all pewter or all silver can easily transition from a regular Christmas decoration ornament. Say you have a pewter flower or star—it can just as easily hang in your kitchen window as on your Christmas tree.

The key is to choose the most versatile type of Christmas decoration ornament, and these are generally very specialized, from their colors to their depiction of Santa, elves or snowmen; however, they don’t have to be specialized. A pewter window ornament can get Christmas feel simply by changing the suction cup hook to a shiny red ribbon. Voila, you’re window is decorated with a Christmas decoration ornament.

If you have a little more storage space than this allows for, you can go for Christmas decorations that are simply themed for winter. Glittery snowflakes will look lovely as hanging decorations in February, but will need to be stored away for the summer. If you have the opportunity to store things for part of the year, the options for decorations open wide. You might even find that you prefer this style of Christmas ornaments on your Christmas tree. You might not miss all the green and red and all those elves and reindeer. Maybe some of you will miss all those cute little guys, but there are certainly many who could go without.

Christmas decorations and ornaments don’t have to take over your entire apartment for the 11 months when they’re not being used. Many people live with boxes and boxes underneath their beds and piled up as bedside tables. If you’ve had enough, try this new Christmas decorating idea, you might just find it beautiful and liberating.
