To make popcorn garland, take a needle and thread and a bunch of popcorn that has no butter or seasoning. Carefully string the popcorn onto the thread. Continue until you have a completed enough garland for your tree.

Paper Chains

Another easy Christmas decoration craft that is fun for the kids in your life is creating paper chains out of colorful Christmas colored paper. Cut the paper into one-inch wide strips. Form a strip into a circle, and staple it closed. Form the next circle out of a new color, and feed it through the first circle, stapling it closed.

Continue until your paper chain until it is long enough for whatever use you want it for. A great use for this Christmas decoration craft is to make enough chain links to count the days until Christmas. Each day the child will pull off a link until the big day!

Christmas Tree Puzzle Decoration

A more sophisticated, but still easy, Christmas decoration craft is the Christmas tree puzzle wreath. Start by taking an old puzzle and counting out thirty-six pieces that are not edges. Spray paint these puzzles green with a high gloss paint. After the pieces dry, use wood glue to assemble the pieces into a wreath shape.

Start the wreath by arranging nine pieces into a circle, with the edges touching. Stack another nine pieces on top, gluing them to the lower level. Continue the layers until all of the puzzle pieces are used.

Once the wreath is completed, decorate with tiny red paint dots to look like holly berries. Finish the Christmas decoration craft by gluing a bright red bow on the top of the wreath and attaching ribbon to hang the ornament with. This is a fun and interesting Christmas decoration craft to enjoy with your children!
